The Story Behind SUDDENLY
In 2017, three years into my marriage and deep into my doctorate, God brought me back to help women prepare for marriage — to date and love better before they said "I do." I started sharing on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram — full-time graduate student, mother of four, building this on the side, one video at a time.
By the time I graduated, 25 women had reported getting married from something in that content — a video, a coaching call, a single piece of wisdom that landed at the right moment.
Then in 2020, God gave me a new assignment: call His people back to His original design — sex reserved for marriage. That led me into the first study of its kind: 43+ couples who successfully abstained from sex until marriage, researched from the ground up.
By 2022, I was Dr. Emily McKnight, Certified Family Life Educator — and God said something unexpected: revamp your coaching program. Call it Suddenly.
I didn't know how to coach the way He was showing me. But I followed the instructions anyway, and what came out was a Holy Spirit-breathed framework I've now walked women through for four years straight.

The Story Behind BEYOND ATTRACTION…
In 2025, I stepped away from coaching for a season — a sabbatical to focus fully on my academic writing and my role as a professor. One of my favorite classes to teach was Courtship and Marriage. And it hit me: I was teaching 20-year-olds relationship education and how to choose — for believers, how to attract and discern — the right partner. Education I had never fully taught my own clients, because I assumed they already knew it.
At the top of 2026, God released the assignment: Beyond Attraction— a four-week activation intensive to attract, discern, and consider a man of God. It launched this past summer, and the results have been extraordinary. Feel free to flip through the gallery of women who will never be the same after this activation intensive.
Suddenly... Married
Jennifer and her husband Roy. Jennifer was part of the inaugural private and group coaching class that began in August of 2022. She met her now-husband, Roy, in November 2023; he proposed on NYE 2023, and they married in September 2024. She prepared, endured, met, and married- SUDDENLY!
Kerel worked with me as a private client in 2024 for 12 weeks and stayed in frequent touch. She spent the rest of the year self-studying the content that I taught in the Suddenly cohort years prior (talk about determined!). She met her now-husband, Maurice, in February 2026, got engaged in May, and married on July 31st 2026. Again, can we say SUDDENLY!
Now Welcoming: 2026 Private Clients
Today, I'm looking for more women who are ready — ready to be free from past or current sexual sin, to heal and be whole, and lastly — to be trained to attract, discern, and consider a man of God. I can't promise you a timeline. But I can tell you this: when the Holy Spirit leads the divine alignment, it happens SUDDENLY.
I believe God is looking to divinely align some of His daughters to men who love Him with all of their hearts. God wants the job of Matchmaker—for those who say yes to Him, no matter their background or history.
